Meat and potatos
Well, the first post is behind me and now it time to get to the nitty gritty. This blog is going to be made up of a little bit of everything i like and am interested in, a little streetwear, a little vintage, a little music, with a major focus on sneakers. Its hard to focus on just one area of interest when your into so much stuff, i'll try to post pictures of just about everything, including trips to the thrift store, the local boutique and other places of interest. I'll do my best to keep this thing updated on a regular basis, that will be easy to do, as right now im out of work, but hopfully not for long. Oh, this blog will also have a huge focus on the twin cities in general, keeping everyone up to date on whats happening here in the twin cities area. Some of you that will visit this blog in the near future might see me around town, thats kinda why i wanted to start this blog in the first place. We as the twin cities have a lot to offer people that travel through on vacation and or business, but we also have a lot to offer people that live here in minneapolis and st. paul, so i will be doing a lot of the leg work for people that don't always have time to hit the street or stores to see whats new or on sale. As things take shape i will post about events, sales, new stores and local brands. The rest of the year could prove to be a pretty exciting time for minneapolis, as my good friends over at PHENOM (153 snelling ave n) will hopfully be opening a minneapolis location somewhere on 1st avenue, which is an amazing location for a boutique of their caliber. Check in often as things will be changing quickly.
Introduction.
I grew up in a mild mannerd, middle class suburban neighborhood north of minneapolis. The family i come from is pretty classic, two kids (i being the the younger of the two) two dogs, and a cat. My perants are good, hard-working blue collar folk. They always treated my brother and i with a great deal of respect and let us think for ourselves. It was the late 80s, and my brother and his friends were really into heavy metal, on this fateful day they were listening to something that i had'nt heard until that point, KILL'EM ALL. It was around the same time i happend to be watching t.v. one afternoon and a commercial came on that changed my life forever. I'll never forget it, the commercial was in black and white and featured two familiar faces, mars "spike lee" blackman and micheal "air" jordan. It was'nt the fact that it was another amazing commercial featuring the always entertaining duo, but it was the fact that the commercial featured what would become my "HOLY GRAIL" my "END ALL, BE ALL" shoe, the nike air jordan v, an addiction was born.
